September 8th students made their long anticipated return to learning at the PARC. The only major difference was that all schooling was to be done from home through the usage of conference call software along with a new online schooling program. Zoom was the program that was chosen by the PARC to allow students and staff to meet regularly to discuss classroom material and work in unison. Michigan Virtual is where students can find assigned school work, aside from any advanced placement courses students are presented the unique opportunity to work at their own pace. This means there is lots of room for procrastination which concerns the author of this page.
All work is done online , meaning that students are more in charge of their success than ever. The asynchronous nature of school in the present day allows many opportunities for students to take advantage of the system. Students could attend morning zoom calls for attendance and then take the rest of the day off. The greater volume of users that are now using the electrical grid and network services put a very large strain on such resources. . It's obvious that issues like these will persist which will make online learning much more difficult.
